He was born and reared in Chester County, the son of Kathlene Palmer Cupples and the late John Benjamin Cupples. He attended Chester County Schools. He joined the Air Force at age 17 and served in Germany and did a tour of duty in Vietnam and served in the Army National Guard Reserve. He worked in the Insurance Business and served as a deputy sheriff for Chester County and served on the Jackson Police Department and the Madison County Sheriff's Department. He moved to Nashville in 1985 and worked as a truck driver and most rescently worked for Middle Tennessee Embalming and Transport Service.
He is survived by his mother, Kathlene Palmer Cupples of Henderson; a son, Jeff Cupples (Jennifer) of Henderson and a daughter, Brigette Lacey (Marty) of Decaturville; three grandchildren; two brothers, Bobby Cupples of Pinson and D
