Jenny Rayborn Cates was born on July 23, 1939 in Morgan County, Alabama, the daughter of the late Fred and Gladys Allen Rayborn.

Jenny grew up in the Morris Chapel area and later worked at Brown Shoe Company in Savannah, Tennessee. She enjoyed knitting, reading, and working puzzles.

Jenny Rayborn Cates departed this life on May 23, 2024 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 84 years and 10 months.

She is survived by her son, Alan Cates of Savannah, Tennessee.

In addition to her parents, Jenny was preceded in death by the father of her son, Joseph Cates.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
