Jennifer Beth Gray

Jennifer Beth Gray was born on December 26, 1976 in Jackson, Tennessee, the precious daughter of John Gray and Joy Goodrum Gray. Jennifer passed from this life at her home in Memphis, TN on February 2, 2025. She was preceded in death by her father, John Gray on November 8, 2017.

It was obvious to everyone that knew Jennifer as a young child that she was exceptionally intelligent and she had a thirst for knowledge all her life. With that said, Jennifer was never an 'Academic Bore', she loved to laugh, usually giggle, loved telling funny stories about her Mom and Dad when they were young, loved to shop, loved anything sparkly, and Wonder Woman.

Jennifer was a strong, independent woman who cared for others and always wanted to do what was right. She loved her family fiercely, especially her Mom and Dad. After the loss of her Dad, it became her mission to 'take care of Joy as her Dad had asked her to'. She did a magnificent job of that, it was a common occurrence to see a flower delivery at Joy's house on any given day.

Jennifer had a special relationship with her 'sister' Dana Elam Jones. They started this adventure called life together as babies at Mamaw Goodrum's and then came kindergarten, grammar school, high school, and college roommates at Lambuth University. Life and long distance lessened their time together, but, the deep love and bond never weakened.

After graduating from Lambuth University in Jackson, TN, Jennifer continued her education obtaining her RN license and then later her FNP license. She was employed with Accredo Health Group in Memphis, Tennessee.

Jennifer leaves a multitude behind that will love, miss and grieve her for the rest of their lives, her mother, Joy Gray, aunts and uncles, Barbara Goodrum, Betty and Jerry Stanfield, Coy and Danny Elam, Dennis and Loretta Goodrum, Danny Goodrum, Debbie and Kenny Pratt, Jackie and Chris Tull. cousins, Lisa and Jimmy Dillon, Chad and Shawnda Stanfield, Brad and Kristal Stanfield, Dana and Shawn Jones, Morgan and Clark Davidson, Melissa and Aaron Hardin, Amanda and Josh Harville, Jonathan and Jill Goodrum, Autumn and Johnny Powers, Justin Prather and fiancée Emily Sanders, Suzie and Jack Glover, Jason and Anita Hively.

In addition to her father, Jennifer was preceded in death by her Grandparents, Gene and Stella Goodrum, JP and Willie Gray, uncles, Larry Goodrum, Bo Goodrum. cousin, Clark Hively.

At the family's wish, a private graveside service will be held to honor and celebrate the life of Jennifer Beth Gray.
