Jeneva Eldarae Walton Connor passed from this life July 19, 2015 in Henderson, TN. She was born in Roscoe, TX on June 16, 1943, to the late Jacob Edward Walton and Ada Spradling Walton. She married Ralph Ray Connor on January 1, 1965. They lived in Roswell New Mexico for a time then moved to Minot, North Dakota when the Airforce transferred Ralph. Ray Connor was born there on December 24, 1969. Later after Ralph retired from the Airforce, the family returned to Ralph's home state of Tennessee and made Finger their home. Sheila Renae Connor Hurst was born in Tennessee on November 30, 1975. Sheila married Poley Hurst in 1999. Jeneva's grandson, Hayes Connor Hurst, was born January 9, 2002. She also has two step grandsons, Dustin Hurst and Logan Hurst (Molli ). They added four step-great grandchildren to the family. Dustin has two children, Coty and Lea Hurst. Logan and Molli have two sons, Bryson and Weston Hurst. She loved her family and was always available for counsel.
Jeneva served as mayor of Finger, TN in the 90’s. She also sold Home Interiors for more than 15 years. She later joined Progressive Insurance working as an Insurance agent until she retired.
Jeneva was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Bethel Springs where she served as a Sunday School teacher for many years. She loved her church family. She was a wise, God-fearing woman that loved to learn about the scripture.
In addition to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, Jeneva leaves behind two brothers, David Lewis (Betty) of Kansas City, Missouri and E. Jay Walton(Marlene) of Albquerque, New Mexico; four step daughers: Sharon Sweigart, Rae-Jean Burke (David), Linnie Robinson (Wally), and Janet Newark (Keith), and family; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by ten brothers and six sisters.
