Jeffrey W. Slate was born April 12, 1964 the son of James (Jim) Slate and Peggy Joyce Childs Meyer.He was united in marriage to Janira Cruz on November 25, 2002.Mr. Slate departed this life on December 10, 2008 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 44 Years, 7 Months, 28 Days.He is survived by his wife Janira (Cruz) Slate and two daughters, Jonah Slate , Josie Slate all of Selmer, TN; his father, James (Jim) Slate of Deltona, FL; his mother, Peggy Joyce (Childs) Meyer of Deltona, FL; five sisters, Jackie D. Tucker of Orlando, FL, Patricia Lynn Blankenship of Debary, FL, Pamala Leigh Adams of Opp, AL, Joanna Finnkelstein of GA, Kellie Rae Foster of Deltona, FL; two brothers, Steven Ray Wilks of Altamonte Springs, FL and James David Slate of NC.
