Mrs. Ledford died Friday night at Baptist Hospital in Memphis.
The daughter of the late Berthal and Grace Hankins, she was a native of Perry County, TN, moving to Hardeman County in 1963. She married Lloyd Ledford on September 21, 1963 and died May 5, 2002. She was a long-time member of the Middleton First Baptist Church and worked as a homemaker. She was most recently a resident of Arlington, TN.
She leaves two daughters, Cherlyn (Robert) Lanier and Charlotte (Larry) Lamberth, both of Middleton, one son, Kevin (Jean) Ledford of Arlington, TN; a sister, Dorris Parrish of Linden; two brothers, Bryon Howard Hankins of Hohenwald and Ted Hankins of Nashville; 7 granchildren, Tina Lanier Prescott, Andrea Lanier Callahan, Lance Lanier, Tenille Lamberth Luttrell, Lorie Lamberth Vinson, Luke Ledford and Lindsey Ledford, 13 great-grandchildren and one due in May, 2013.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Geary Ledford on June 21, 1980; two sisters, Ann Satterfield and Betty Cotham and a brother, Curtis Hankins.
