JEAN DRAKE
Was born in East Orange, New Jersey on April 2, 1930 the daughter of the late Frank and Freida Hagen Boyden.
On September 6, 1947 she was united in marriage to Alson Drake, who preceded his wife in death on June 11, 1979.
Mrs. Drake was a homemaker. She was also a seamstress, a local artist and worked for Hardin County Library. Mrs. Drake was a founder of Hardin County Hospital Ladies Auxiliary. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
Mrs. Drake departed this life on May 2, 2006 in Olive Branch, Mississippi at the age of 76 years and 1 month.
She is survived by one daughter, Alison Drake Houston of Olive Branch, Mississippi.
One son, Frank Drake of Savannah, Tennessee.
2 grandchildren, Crystal Shelton and Tabitha Strawn.
3 great-grandchildren, Corey Strawn, Dylan Strawn and Maryan Shelton.
One sister, Lois Uphold of Strasburg, Pennsylvania
One step-sister, Doris Moran of North Fort Myers, Florida
Mrs. Drake was also preceded in death by one grandchild, Candice Houston and one sister, Mildred VanSetters.
