Jean Derryberry was born April 10, 1936 in McNairy County, TN the daughter of the late John and Naomie Butler Callins.
She was united in marriage to Charles Edwin Derryberry on October 21, 1950. Mr. Derryberry preceded her in death on August 7, 1987.
Mrs. Derryberry was a Bakery Clerk for Schnucks Grocery Stores, where she worked with her grandson, John Keenum. She always enjoyed going to work in hopes that he would be there. Jean would always say, her days were never the same when he wasn't there.
She dedicated her entire life to her family. She was always there to listen to each and everyone of us. Whether you were her son, daughter, grandchild, brother, sister, niece, nephew or in-laws and by the way in-laws were just as much as family as her own, Jean was always there for them.
She departed this life on April 27, 2013 in Southaven, Mississippi at the age of 77 Year Old.
Mrs. Derryberry is survived by her children, Larry Derryberry and wife Charlene of Byhalia, MS, Tammy Keenum and husband Bobby of Southaven, MS; four grandchildren, Charles Derryberry of Byhalia, MS, John Keenum and wife Angie of Southaven, MS, Chris Keenum and wife Sarah of Southaven, MS, Alexis Keenum and fiance Cody McCuistion of Southaven, MS; four great grandchildren, Layne Derryberry, Ty Derryberry, Colton Keenum, Addison Keenum; a sister, Emma Nell Wesson of Savannah, TN; two brothers, Charlie Callins of Olive Branch, MS and Joe Callins of Marked Tree, AR.
In addition to her parents and her husband Mrs. Derryberry was preceded in death by a daughter, Sherry Diana Derryberry; a grandchild, Vanessa Derryberry; six sisters, Florence Crotts, Viola Moore, Johnie Marie Burns, Melba Hutson Dixon, Lesslie Pauley and Helen Callins; four brothers, Robert Callins, Cleatus Callins, Erby Lee Callins and Jim Callins.
