Jean Burns was born March 1, 1937 in Chalybeate, MS the daughter of the late George Wesley and Ethel Viola Gates Long.
She was united in marriage to Jessie Paul Burns on December 25, 1957.
Before retiring, Mrs. Burns had worked at Chadco, Weavers, Garan and United Pioneer. She enjoyed working in the yard, riding the 4-wheeler at the farm and playing Farmville on computer. She was a member of the North Corinth Baptist Church in Corinth, Mississippi.
Mrs. Burns departed this life on July 30, 2019 in Corinth, Mississippi at the age of 82 Years, 4 Months, 29 Days. She is survived by her husband, Jessie Paul Burns of Corinth, MS; two sons, Paul Burns and wife Cathy of Kossuth, MS, Ricky Burns and wife Teresa of Farmington, MS; a brother, Ned Long of Little Rock, AR; a sister, Sabra Hutson of Glen, MS; special friend, Michelle Moss; four grandchildren, Paula Burns, Clay Burns and wife, Annalese, Casey Prentiss, A.J. Burns; four great grandchildren, Dayton "NoNo" Burns, Darby Burns, Lilli Haze Burns, Dominic McCoy; and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Mrs Burns was preceded in death by two brothers, James William Long, G.W. Long; five sisters, Lockie Paul, Ina Smith, Ludie Herrmann, Georgette Gardner, Leneta (Jo) Bennett.
