J.C. Mayes, 65, of Saulsbury, passed away Sunday afternoon, May 2, 2010 at Bolivar General Hospital.
Mr. Mayes was born February 12, 1945 in Hickory Flat, MS to the late Bilbo and Nora Pauline Wilkerson Mayes and lived all of his life in Saulsbury. He worked as a lead man and in the warehouse at Crane (Sequentia) for 40 years and was a farmer. Mr. Mayes attended Saulsbury Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sisters, Paula McAlpin and husband David of Jonesboro, AR and Bonnie Johnson of Saulsbury; three brothers, Bob Mayes, Ralph Mayes and wife, Barbara and Harold Mayes and wife, Jan, all of Saulsbury; and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
