J.B. Russell

Mr. Russell passed away Wednesday morning at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.



The husband of Dorothy Inez Morris Russell, who survives, he was a farmer. Mr. Russell was born January 4, 1924 in Hardeman County to the late Booker Davis Russell and Sally Lucille Kearney Russell and lived all of his life here. He worked for Armira (Bolivar Tannery) for 34 years, served in the US Army in the 30th Division Infantry in World War 2, and was a member of Parrans Chapel Baptist Church.



In addition to his wife, whom he married November 7, 1942, he is survived by three sons and their wives, John R. Russell and Annette, Ronnie Russell and Mary Ann, and Barry Russell and Marilyn, all of Bolivar; a daughter, Peggy Russell of Bolivar; a brother and his wife, Bill and Janet Russell of Lakeland, FL; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, J.J. Russell.
