Pinson, TN: Phillip Jayd Bivens age 26 passed away September 7, 2016 at his home.
He was born November 11, 1989 in Martin, TN and grew up in Jackson, the son of Phillip Wayne Bivens and Michelle Phegley Morris. He graduated from Trinity Christian Academy in 2008. He attended Wharton Community College in Wharton, TX and then Tarleton State University in Stephenville, TX. They made their home in Texas where he trained horses. They moved to the Pinson area in February 2014. He was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Weatherford, TX.
He is survived by his wife, Jacee Julianne McAfee Bivens of Pinson; his parents, Phillip and Tracey Bivens of Martin and Michelle and Kyle Morris of Jacks Creek and a sister, Aalia Bivens of Martin. His grandparents are Laurine Roach and the late Gary Roach of Pinson and Donna Bivens and the late Jimmie Bivens of Pilot Oak, KY and great grandmother, Thelma ‘Nanny’ Ward of Weatherford, TX.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, September 11, 2016 at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with Gary Ward and Kyle Morris officiating. Burial will follow in Mifflin Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Saturday.
