Jay Forshea

Mr. Jay Forshea, age 65 of Middleton, Tennessee, passed from this life Monday evening, October 10, 2016 at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis.

James Elmer Forshea was born Friday, June 1, 1951, in Memphis, TN, to the late Vernon Forshea and Iris Williams Forshea. He graduated with the class of 1969 at Middleton High School. On September 29, 1972, he married his wife Judith Bell. For 35 years, he worked for Western Mental Health Institute as a patient escort. Jay was a member of the Middleton Pentecostal Tabernacle. He loved gardening and spending time with his grandchildren. Mr. Forshea spent most of his life living in Hardeman County.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Forshea of Middleton; a daughter, Jana Turner(John) of Middleton; a son, Clay Forshea(Jennie) of Medon; a brother, Ronnie Forshea of Brownsville; five grandchildren, John Dillon Turner, Luke Turner, Kentson Forshea, Christopher McKee, and Cayden Forshea; and one great-grandchild on the way. He is preceded in death by his parents, Vernon Forshea and Iris Williams Forshea; and a brother, David Forshea.
