JASPER BYRUMMedon, TN: Marshall Jasper Byrum age 58 passed away April 23, 2013 at his home.
He was born and reared in the Mercer Community of Madison County, son of the late Marshall Bennett Byrum and Dorothy Louise Glidewell Byrum Nance. Marshall Bennett Byrum died in 1976 and Dorothy married Henry Lee Nance in 1979. Jasper went to school in Fayette County. He became a mechanic at an early age and worked on many types of vehicles. He worked for Alexander Motors in Jackson for many years. He loved riding four wheelers and fixing cars.
He is survived by a daughter, Belinda Overton and Jeremy of Toone; a stepdaughter, Laura Stanfield of Mercer and three stepsons, Oneal Byrum of Medon, Frank Byrum of Pinson and Michael Kincaid of Memphis; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren; two sisters, Liz Page of Jackson and Virgie Byrum of Pinson.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Sue Kirk Byrum in 2011.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with Chaplin Kevin Mercer officiating and burial will follow in Maple Springs Cemetery at Mercer, TN.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM Saturday.
