JASON MORRIS
Henderson, TN: Jason Lee Morris age 52, passed away July 3, 2022 at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, TN.
He was born December 16, 1969 in Jackson and grew up in Henderson, the son of Wanda Jean Paulk Morris and the late Eugene ‘Peanut’ Morris. He graduated from Chester County High School in 1988 and graduated from Tech Vocational School at Crump and spent his adult life working in Industrial Maintenance.
He married Deana Patterson in 1992. They made their home in the Plainview Community.
He coached girls and boys Dixie Youth and Chester County Youth League Basketball. He enjoyed taking his nephews, Rhett and Austin hunting. He was a NASCAR Fan and Tennessee Football Fan. He enjoyed coon hunting with his father. He was very proud of his dogs, Willow and Charlie.
He was a member of the Oak Grove Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Mr. Morris is survived by his wife, Deana Lyn Patterson Morris; four daughters, Jesica Emerson (Brad), Jenifer Lowrance (Stephen), Carlee Morris and Caelyn Morris; four grandchildren, Caleb Emerson, Noah Emerson, Cooper Lowrance and Colton Lowrance; his mother, Wanda Jean Paulk Morris; two nephews, Rhett Ramsay (Lauren) and Austin Ramsay and a sister, Carol Ramsay of Memphis.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, July 7th at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue Chapel with Bro. Glenn Harris and Rhett and Austin. Burial will follow in Haltom's Chapel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday.
