He was born and reared in Henderson in Chester County, the son of Joe Neal and Jean Harris Cox. He went to school in Chester County. He played baseball and football in school, which he loved. He graduated Chester County High School in 1990. As he grew up he helped his grandfather Gordon Cox on the farm. He graduated U.T. Knoxville in 1994, with a Marketing Degree. He was married to Amy Middleton of Henderson, August 12, 1995. They made their home in Henderson. In 1996 he got his Real Estate License and worked for Casey Realtor along with his wife Amy, until 2003. Jason was self employed in the Home Construction Business where he built spec houses for sale. He was a member of the First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife Amy Middleton Cox; his father and mother Joe Neal and Jean Harris Cox; his grandmothers Wanna Cox and Bessie Harris and a sister Janie Wilson all of Henderson.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers Leonard Harris (1993) and Gordon Cox in (2005).
