Janice Pickens Scott was born on January 2, 1937 in Riverton, Alabama, the daughter of the late John Bartley and Lula Mae Lard Pickens.
On March 15, 1955, she was united in marriage to Joe F. Scott, who survives.
Janice was a member of Pyburn Union Church and worked as a seamstress for Clifton Manufacturing Company. After her retirement, she continued to do work as a seamstress for anyone who needed help.
Janice Pickens Scott departed this life on Friday, April 30, 2021 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 84 years, 3 months, and 28 days.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Joe F. Scott of Savannah, Tennessee; sons, Joe Stephen Scott of Savannah, Tennessee and John Allen Scott and his wife Lisa of Selmer, Tennessee; grandchildren, Jamie G. Scott Langford of Waynesboro, Tennessee, Stacie Scott Butler of Spring Hill, Tennessee, Kaitlyn Scott and Cody Scott, both of Savannah, Tennessee, and Jason Scott of Stantonville, Tennessee; 7 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Janice was preceded in death by her sons, Timothy Boyd Scott and David Andrew Scott; brothers, Thomas Edmon Pickens and John Dennis Pickens; and granddaughter Brandi Nicole Scott.
