Janice Gail Banks Richardson

Mrs. Janice Gail Banks Richardson was born July 14, 1956 in Waynesboro, TN the daughter of the late Nolie Edward and Syble Stults Banks. Mrs. Richardson was a retired secretary. She was a member of the Piney Grove Freewill Baptist Church in Cypress Inn where she served as the Church secretary and made the bulletin for years. She will be fondly remembered for her love for her family and cooking with her grandkids. She was united in marriage to Jackie K. Richardson on August 21, 1976. Mrs. Richardson departed this life on November 30, 2021 in Florence, Alabama at the age of 65 Years, 4 Months, 16 Days.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Jackie K. Richardson of Cypress Inn, TN; son, Kevin Richardson and wife Whitney of Waynesboro, TN; brother, John E. Banks of Collinwood, TN; three sisters, Lorene Melson and husband Kenneth of Waynesboro, TN; Iva Hanback of Cypress Inn, TN; Norma Hanback and husband Joe of Collinwood, TN. She is also survived by her two grandchildren, Isabella and AnnaBeth Richardson.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Lem Hanback, Sr.; two sisters-in-law Carylon Banks and Carla Richardson.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday December 1, 2021 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors, Collinwood and again on Thursday December 2, 2021 from 10:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM at Piney Grove Freewill Baptist Church.

Services will be held on December 2, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Piney Grove Freewill Baptist Church in Cypress Inn, Tennessee, with Greg Eaton and Stephen Stults officiating. Burial will follow in the Piney Grove Cemetery at Cypress Inn, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors Assisting the Family.

In Lieu of Flowers, Mrs. Janice had requested memorial donations be given to the benevolence fund at Piney Grove Freewill Baptist Church.
