JANICE KEEN

Enville, TN: Janice Elaine Keen, age 75, passed away December 6, 2023, at the Henderson Health & Rehabilitation Center.

She was born July 30, 1948, in Enville, TN the daughter of the late Clyde “Pete” Wilson Ramey and Betty Jo Baker Ramey. She grew up in Enville and was a graduate of Chester County High School.

She worked for UPS in Memphis for a time and then transferred to Nashville and was very proud to have become The First Woman Supervisor.

She married Danny Ray Keen on July 31, 1980. They made their home in Enville. She then attended Jackson State Community College and earned her LPN Degree. She loved nursing and worked at Chester County Nursing Home for several years.

Serving God was her highest priority in life she was a member of Solitude Freewill Baptist Church and enjoyed singing in the choir and playing the piano. She was also a member of The Eastern Star.

She loved her kids and grandkids and enjoyed planting flowers and gardening.

Mrs. Keen is survived by her husband, Danny Keen of Enville and three sons, William Bryan Keen (Stacy) of Henderson, Tommy Ray Keen of Selmer and Steven Dewayne Keen (Leslie) of Michie; and a daughter, Janice Renea Byford (Kevin) of Henderson; a brother, Rickey Ramey (Ronnie) of Robertsdale, AL; grandchildren, Luke, Halle, Noah, Nathan and Taylor Keen, Dallas and Houston Horton; great grandchildren, William Rebstock, Sandra and Houston Nicole Horton and Aubrey Ray.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson, Jonathan Ray.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, December 10^th at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue Chapel with Bro. Tanner Garrison officiating. Burial will follow at Rocky Knob Cemetery at Finger, TN.

The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Saturday and beginning at 12:00 PM Sunday until service time.
