JANE FLATT
Henderson, TN: Martha Jane Stewart Flatt age 68, passed away February 21, 2022 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
She was born November 15, 1953 in Henderson, TN, the daughter of the late William Harlie and Geneva Conder Stewart. She was a 1971 graduate of Chester County High School. She also attended West TN Business College in Jackson earning an accounting certificate. She later attended Jackson State Community College. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Henderson.
She married Charles Flatt on September 23, 1972 and he preceded her in death in 2000.
She owned and operated Superior Accounting Service for forty-one years and then worked for the State of Tennessee for thirteen years, retiring in 2017.
She enjoyed going to the mountains and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed her dog Carter.
Mrs. Flatt is survived by a son, Brad Flatt of Henderson; a daughter, Brandi Price of Selmer; grandchildren, Zach Brasfield, Dalton Brasfield, Clay Brasfield, Logan Price, Chelsey Price and great-grandchildren, Tatum Dove and Jordyn Oaks; a brother, Fay Stewart of Henderson; a sister, Ann Hollin (Teddy) of Milledgeville and a niece and two nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a brother, Joe Stewart.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, February 26th at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Jeremy Arnold officiating. Burial will follow at Unity Cemetery at Jacks Creek.
The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue 5 PM until 8 PM on Friday.
