James Bradley Whittington was born May 22, 1971 in Hampton, Virginia the son of Jimmy and Annette Grissom Whittington.Mr. Whittington was a Electronics Services Functions Specialist for Navy Federal Credit Union in Washington, DC. He was a member of the First Methodist Church of Lexington, Virginia and was president of the Lexington, VA chapter of the Jaycees. Mr. Whittington was also a member of the Washington, DC Tennessee Alumni Chapter, and was active in the Emmaus Community and the ATO Fraternity. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee and a Masters degree from Southern Miss. Mr. Whittington departed this life on June 10, 2007 in Vienna, Virginia at the age of 36 Years, 19 Days. He is survived by his parents, Jimmy and Annette Grissom Whittington of Selmer, Tennessee; a brother, Kevin Whittington and wife Kellie of Jackson, Tennessee; a nephew, Mason Aubrey Whittington of Jackson, Tennessee; and his fiancee', Amy Godfrey of Columbus, Georgia. Mr. Whittington was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Paul and Margaret Carter Whittington, and his maternal grandparents, William A. and Mary Leona Grissom.
