James D. Whitman

James D. Whitman was born September 1, 1939 in Sagneiw, Michigan the son of the late Lorenzo N. and Jeanne Schroeder Whitman.He was united in marriage to Barbara Deford on December 17, 1960. Mr. Whitman was a truck driver . He was a member of the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Corinth, Mississippi. He enjoyed bowling, belonged to the Civil Air Patrol and Sharing Hearts an Alzheimers Group at First Baptist Church in Corinth, MS.Mr. Whitman departed this life on November 1, 2008 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 69 Years, 2 Months. He is survived by his wife, Bobbi Whitman of Selmer, TN; a daughter, Dawn Stephens of Selmer, TN; two sons, Brian Whitman and wife Annie of Selmer, TN, Kevin Whitman and wife Angie of Nashville, TN; a sister, Barb Knop of Heil, MI; four grandchildren, Cindy Stephens, Alex Whitman, Tiffanie Stone, and Amanda Derry; two great grandchildren, Brock Stone and Nicholas Derry; two nephews, William J. Knop and Kenneth Knop; two special friends, Shannon King and Lucy Jane Paige.In addition to his parents, Mr. Whitman was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Whitman and nephew, Richard Knop.
