James Anthony White

Funeral services for James Anthony White, age 61, of Waynesboro, TN will be Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at 1 pm at Green River Tabernacle in Waynesboro, TN with Larry Janes officiating. Burial with military rites will be in T. S. White Cemetery in Waynesboro, TN with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County directing. Pallbearers will be Damon McMahel, Chad Schilke, Allen White, Jody Crooms, Pete Ward, and Duane White. Honorary pallbearers will be Virgil and Terry White.



Visitation will be Tuesday, Feb 12, 2008 from 6 pm to 9 pm and Wednesday, Feb 13, 2008 from 8 am until 12:30 pm at Shackelford Funeral Home in Waynesboro, TN.



Mr. White died at his home on Saturday, February 9, 2008.



A native of Wayne County, TN, he was a self-employed carpenter and cabinet installer and had lived in Jacksonville, FL before moving back to Waynesboro, TN. Mr. White was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, having served two tours in Vietnam. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Pickens White and Edith Ernestine Moore White; brothers, John Pickens White, Jr. and Charles Thomas White; and sister, Sandra Joan White.



Survivors, daughter, Angela McMahel and husband, Damon; granddaughter, Jessalyn McMahel, all of Waynesboro, TN; brothers, Virgil D. White and wife, Mary, Waynesboro, TN, Allen and Terry White both of Jacksonville, FL; sisters, Frances Kerce, Atlanta, GA, Sherry Gibson, Atkinson, GA, Brenda Crooms, Brunswick, GA, Faye Ward and his twin sister, Jane Brabant both of Jacksonville, FL; nieces and nephews.
