JAMES LARRY (POSSUM) WHITEwas born in Hardin County, Tennessee on September 11, 1942 the son of the late Oscar Melvin and Dovie Louise Higgins White.On January 16, 1968 he was united in marriage to Carolyn Phillips, who survives.Mr. White was a retired construction worker, he worked for ISI installation systems. Mr. White was a United States Army Veteran. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Mr. White lived in the Walkertown community all of his life. He loved to ride anywhere and he loved to fish. He departed this life on February 15, 2009 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 66 years, 5 months and 4 days.Other than his wife Carolyn of Savannah, Tennessee, he is survived by 2 daughters, Tonya White and Alyon Elam, both of Savannah, Tennessee.one grandson, Jamie White4 sisters, Betty Garner of Virginia, Frances Wiggington of Mississippi, Kathy Broyles of Savannah, Tennessee and Beauton Sharp of Savannah, Tennesseeone brother, Melvin White of Savannah, TennesseeMr. White was also preceded in death by 2 grandchildren, Kylie Harris and Kastin Melson and one sister, Willadean Smith.
