James Earnest West, 58, of Hornsby, died Sunday, April 17, 2005 at
Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
The husband of Linda West, who survives, he was a maintenance
worker at Spectrum Corporation. Mr. West was born September
19, 1946in McNairy County, son of Susie Ruth Eads West of Bethel
Springs and the late William R. West. He served in the U.S. Navy
during the Vietnam War.
Services were 1 PM Wednesday, April 20 at Shackelford Funeral
Directors Bolivar chapel with Ed Hamil and Tim West officiating.
Burial was in Hatchie Cemetery near Hornsby.
In addition to his wife and his mother, survivors include three
daughters, Lavonia Clay of Hornsby, Shannon West and Wendy
Shipman, both of Selmer; three sons, Todd Kiestler and Chris West,
both of Bethel Springs, and Jimmy West of Selmer; two sisters,
Linda Cox of Bethel Springs and Sherry Dorris of Hornsby; six
brothers, Kenneth West of Hornsby, Earl West of Adamsville, Joe
West of Gonzales, LA, Billy and Denny West, both of Bethel
Springs, and Robert West of Morton, IL and twelve grandchildren.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one brother,
Roy Dale West.
