James Ray West

Mr. James Ray West departed this life on Friday, February 1, 2019 at North Alabama Medical Center in Florence, Alabama at the age of 70 Years, 11 Months, 5 Days. He was born February 27, 1948 in Wayne County, TN the son of the late James Thomas and Billie Jean Copeland West.

He was united in marriage to Wanda Joyce Steger on June 29, 1989.

Ray had worked for Tastee Bakery in Detroit, MI. also known as Metts Baker. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He was a wonderful husband and father and took his family to church.

He is survived by his wife Wanda Joyce West of Cypress Inn, TN., son, Bobby Ray West of Michigan, brother, Gary West, wife Kathy of Waynesboro, TN;
sister, Linda Gail Daniel of Savannah, TN.

In addition to his parents, Mr. West was preceded in death by a daughter, Carie Lyn Elizabeth West, brother, Christopher Leon West.

Services will be held on Sunday, February 3, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral home in Collinwood, Tennessee. Burial will follow in Jackson Cemetery, Cypress Inn, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of the service

Visitation will be on Saturday, February 2nd. 6:00- 9:00 p.m. and on Sunday February 3rd. from 12:00 noon until service time @ Shackelford Funeral Home, Collinwood.

Masonic Rites will follow the service at the funeral home.
