James Wesley Watkins

Funeral services for James Wesley Watkins age 78, Cypress Inn, TN will be held on Friday, July 25, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel in Waynesboro, Tennessee with John E. Banks officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Gardens at Collinwood, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County in charge of the arrangements.



Visitation will be on Thursday, July 24 from 5:00-9:00 pm and on Friday, July 25 from 8:00 am until service time at Shackelford Funeral Home, Waynesboro



Mr. Watkins departed this life on July 22, 2008 in Cypress Inn, Tennessee at the age of 78 Years, 11 Months. He was born August 22, 1929 in Lauderdale County, Alabama the son of the late Levi and Mittie Vines Watkins. In addition to his parents, Mr. Watkins was preceded in death by ; four brothers, Neal Watkins, Orville Watkins, Bobby Watkins, Watkins; two sisters, Virginia Weems and Ruth Hamm



Mr. Watkins was retired from Hassell and Hughes as a saw operator . He was a member of the Fairview Freewill Baptist .



He was united in marriage to Lois Martin on July 23, 1949.



He is survived by ;

his wife Mrs. Lois (Martin) Watkins of Cypress Inn, TN; daughters, Myra (Watkins) Brewer of Collinwood, TN, Anita (Watkins) Logan of Collinwood, TN, and the granddaughter they raised; Charlena Broadfoot of Lawrenceburg, TN;



grandchildren; Holly Taylor and Wayne Whitehead both of Collinwood, TN and Tiffany Green of Waynesboro,TN



great grandchildren; Kennedy Staggs of Waynesboro,TN; Kylee and Katie Taylor and Kyler Whitehead all of Collinwood,TN
