James Scott Walker, 89, died peacefully on February 22, 2012, at Greenfield Assisted Living in Memphis, surrounded and comforted by his family and Cross Roads Hospice.
He retired from Kimberly Clark. He was a faithful Christian and past member of Coleman Avenue Church of Christ in Memphis and Bolivar Church of Christ in Bolivar, TN, where he lived for 25 years after his retirement. He was a loving and kind husband, father, and grandfather, and he leaves his family with many wonderful memories. He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Ernestine Walker.
He is survived by his two sons, David Walker (Kay) of Memphis and Richard Walker (Mary) of Hickory Valley, TN. He also leaves his two grandsons, Jonathan (Christina) Walker and Jeffrey Walker, both of Cordova. The family offers many thanks to his dear friends, Bill and Shirley Tucker of Bolivar, for their loving and faithful help in caring for him and visiting him.
