James F. (Jim) True, Sr., was born on December 29, 1945 in Danville, Massachusetts, the son of the late David and Philomena True. On October 21, 2008, he was united in marriage to Arsenia Timbug, who survives.
Mr. True served his country in the United States Army as a medic for 22 years. He had also worked as a farmer and mechanic. Prior to moving to Savannah, Jim lived in Vine Grove, Kentucky and several other places with the military. He was a member of the VFW and attended church at Mt. Zion Church of Christ in Savannah, Tennessee and Vine Grove Christian Church in Vine Grove, Kentucky. In his spare time, he loved working on cars and spending time with his grandchildren.
James F. True, Sr. departed this life on August 11, 2016 at the age of 70 years, 7 months, 13 days.
He is survived by his wife, Arsenia True of Savannah, Tennessee; 8 sons; 10 daughters; sister, Mary Hargraves of Exter, New Hampshire; and an abundance of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Chris True; sister, Laura Dennis; and an infant twin brother.
