James Luther Todd

James Luther Todd was born April 5, 1943 in Lawrenceburg, TN to Newton Todd and Clura Darnell Todd. He married Daisy Hardesty, July 2, 1966, in Goshen, IN, where they made their home for many years. She preceded him in death (1995). He raised several state champion beagles, trained dogs for others and loved to run beagle trials. He married Mary Hall in 1997 and she preceded him in death. Mr. Todd was a retired factory worker, he moved back to Wayne County, TN in 2015 to enjoy several years of hunting, fishing and attending ballgames and tractor pulls with his nieces and nephews. He was a kind heart who never turned down an invitation to fellowship with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Samuel Curtis Todd, Archie Quinton Todd, William Jackson Todd and Ulysses Grant Todd and sisters, Amanda Pearline Todd and Lilly Ruth Toon. He is survived by his niece, Madonna G Cole (Dewayne), Waynesboro, TN, nephews, Mickey Joe Todd (Karen) and William David Todd (April) of Iron City, TN, nephew- by-marriage, Wallace Van Hook, Goshen, IN and several great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews as well as a host of friends. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 27, 2022 from 10:30 am until 3:00 pm at Shackelford Funeral Directors, Collinwood, TN. Services will follow at 3:00 pm at Shackelford Funeral Directors, Collinwood, TN, Steve Martin officiating with burial in Bethlehem Cemetery with Shackelford Funeral Directors directing.
