JAMES CALVIN SPEARS
was born in McNairy County, TN on September 26, 1943 the son of Verdie Faye Hutchens Spears and the late John Thomas Spears.
On February 1, 1964 he was united in marriage to the former Nancy Dianne Holmes, who survives.
Mr. Spears retired from the TVA, where he worked as a teamster. He was also the former Chief of Police for Savannah, TN. Mr. Spears was a member of the First Baptist Church in Crump, TN, a member of the Savannah Masonic Lodge #102 and the Teamsters Local #402.
He departed this life on March 26, 2007 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, TN at the age of 63 years and 6 months.
Mr. Spears is survived by his wife, Nancy Dianne Spears of Savannah, TN;
a daughter, Jimmie Dianne Spears Prince and her husband, David Prince;
a son, James Jeffrey Spears and his wife, Deanna Clausel Spears, all of Savannah, TN;
two grandchildren: Taylor Prince and Jessie Spears;
his mother, Verdie Faye Spears of Crump, TN; a sister, Wanda Kimberland of Savannah, TN;
two brothers: Larry Spears of Savannah, TN and Eddie Spears of Crump, TN;
and two special children: Maggy Jerrolds and Myles Jerrolds.
