James Marvin Sherrill

Funeral services for James Marvin Sherrill, age 88, of Rayburn Creek Rd., Collinwood, will be Three p.m. Saturday, September 2, 2006 at Cromwell Crossroads Church with Greg Eaton, Willie Paul Kilburn, and Charles Lopp officiating. Interment will follow in Cromwell Crossroads Cemetery with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge.
Mr. Sherrill was born in Lauderdale County, AL, a son of the late Jessie James and Effie White Sherrill. He died Thursday, August 31, 2006 at his home near Collinwood. He was preceded in death by his wife, Loretta Belle Ayers Sherrill; and brothers, Roy D. Sherrill and Howard Sherrill. Mr. Sherrill was retired from Hassell and Hughes Lumber Co. in Collinwood and a member of Cromwell Crossroads Community Church.
He is survived by a son, John David Sherrill and a daughter, Reva Huskey both of Collinwood; grandchildren, Keith Huskey, Kim Quigley, Alanna Sherrill, and Johna Sherrill; great grandchildren, Ali Huskey, Hannah Huskey, Elizabeth Huskey, and Johnathan Ross Quigley.
