Services for James Paul Sherrill, age 69, of Collinwood, TN will be Saturday,January 14, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel in Collinwood, Tennessee with Andy Sherrill and John Hodum officiating. Burial will follow in Cromwell Crossroads Cemetery with Shackelford Funeral

Pallbearers will be Joshua Sherrill, Jeffery Sherrill, Jarod Sherrill, Justin Cummings, Danny Horton, and Jimmy Sherrill
A native of Wayne County, he was born August 23, 1942 a son of the late Frances Sherrill. Mr. Sherrill died Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia, Tennessee. In addition to his mother, Mr. Sherrill was preceded in death by brothers, Daniel Sherrill and Billy Gene Sherrill; three sisters, Millie Morgan, Oma McCurry, and Christine Tank. He formerly worked for Alter Barge Line begining as a deck hand and leaving as a captain. Recently he was a machinist at Tennessee Valley Authority. On July 10, 1965 he was married to Jeanette Horton Sherrill.
He is survived by his wife Jeanette Horton Sherrill of Collinwood, TN;
three sons, Jeffery Paul Sherrill of Florence, AL and Jared Edward Sherrill and wife Lynn of Florence, AL, Joshua James Sherrill and wife Sara of Lenoir City, TN; daughter, Jordan Maryanne Cummings and husband Justin of Collinwood, TN; three grandchildren, Gabriel Alexander Sherrill, Fallon Elizabeth Sherrill, and Rowan Suzannah Sherrill; mother-in-law, Mary Lois Horton of Collinwood, TN; several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
