James Edwin Scott

James Edwin (Jackie) Scott was born June 30, 1949 in Memphis, Tennessee the son of the late Arthur Dewey Scott and the late Daisy Lee Ramer. Mr. Scott was a retired Staff Sergeant in the United States Army and served 4 tours of duty in Vietnam. He was a member of the Olive Hill Baptist Church.Mr. Scott departed this life on December 29, 2005 at his home in Guys, Tennessee at the age of 56 Years, 5 Months, 29 Days. He is survived by his wife, Linda Butler Scott of Guys, Tennessee; four daughters: Joyce Bartholow of Guys, Tennessee, Nancy Lee Patton and husband, Donald of Eastview, Tennessee, Lisa Marie Scott and husband, George Henningsen of Michie, Tennessee and Sarah Beth Scott of Finger, Tennessee; three step-daughters: Viola Kay Matthews of Montgomery City, Missouri, Gidget Marie Ferguson and Jamie Sue Ferguson, both of Herman, Missouri; a step-son, Michael Joseph Matthews of Corinth, Mississippi; two sisters: Mary Frances Rutledge of Ramer, Tennessee and JoAnn Gentry of Mobile, Alabama; two half-sisters: Pauline McElroy of Bolivar, Tennessee and Sue Otto of Mobile, Alabama; a half-brother, Joseph Stauter of Mobile, Alabama; and three grandchildren: Tiffany Renea Sutton, Hannah Paige Patton and Trey Paul Patton.
