James Corbin Robinson

James Corbin Robinson was born September 15, 1933 in Counce, Tennessee the son of the late James M. (Hob) and Irene McKinney Robinson.Mr. Robinson was a River Boat Pilot for Marine Transport for over 40 years . He was a member of the New Chapel Freewill Baptist Church in Counce,Tennessee. He served honorably in the United States Army. Mr. Robinson departed this life on June 7, 2010 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 76 Years, 8 Months, 23 Days. He is survived by three daughters, Tammy Tinney and husband Billie of Houston, TX, Pamela Morris and husband Carl of Iuka, MS, Leigh Ann Knight of Iuka, MS; three sons, Mike Robinson of Iuka, MS, Shane Robinson of Russelville, AL, Heath Robinson of Bolivar, TN; two sisters, Fay Vickery of McEwen, TN, Lou Ella Greene of Corinth, MS; and a brother, Jerry Robinson of Adamsville, TN.In addition to his parents, Mr. Robinson was preceded in death by a son, Steven Robinson; two sisters, Louise Blakney and Betty Williams; seven brothers, Buster Robinson, Johnny Robinson, Garland Robinson, Tommy Robinson, Clyde Robinson, Kenneth Robinson and Ronald Robinson.Services will be held on June 12, 2010 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Adamsville in Adamsville, Tennessee, with Rev George Kyle officiating.
