James Larry Ray, 50, of Bolivar died Wednesday, May 18, 2005 at Bolivar General Hospital.
The husband of Nancy Louise Siler Ray, who survives, he was an ordained minister since 1991. Mr. Ray was born October 16, 1954 in Bolivar, son of Georgia Estella Howell Smith of Bolivar and the late James Warren Ray and lived here all of his life. He was a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church in Bolivar.
Memorial services were 2 PM Friday, May 20, at Shackelford Funeral Directors Bolivar chapel with Bill Sorrell officiating. Burial was at New Union Cemetery near Medon.
In addition to his wife, whom he married July 21, 2000, and his mother, survivors include two daughters, Lorrie Ann Stamey of Somerville and Mindy Estella Scott of Horn Lake, Miss.; one sister, Mary Ann Kelley of Whiteville and four grandchildren.
