James T. Plunk



was born in Savannah, Tennessee on February 5, 1939 the son of the late Roscoe and Dexter Doreen Blankenship Plunk.



On March 27, 1965 he was united in marriage to Marilyn Adams, who preceded him in death on March 15, 2008.



Mr. Plunk retired from International Harvestor in Moline, Illinois as a forklift operator. He was a member of the River Heights Pentecostal Church and had served in the United States Army. He loved to visit hospitals and nursing homes.



Mr. Plunk departed this life on Sunday, November 7, 2010 at the age of 71 years, 9 months, 2 days.



He is survived by 4 sons, Richard Plunk of Cape Cod, Massachusetts, James Plunk of Cleburne, Texas, Joseph Plunk of Darron, Ohio, and Mark Plunk of Savannah, Tennessee; 2 daughters, Cindy Adkins of Port Byron, Illinois and Naomi Lard of Savannah, Tennessee; 12 grandchildren, Drew Plunk, Sheena Plunk, Zane Plunk, Lance Adkins, Cherie Price, Paxton Price, Payton Plunk, Nicole Lard, Amber Lard, Misty Sowell, Christy Sowell, and Michael Sowell; 5 brothers, Paul David Plunk of Crump, Tennessee, Sam Plunk of Savannah, Tennessee, Harold Plunk, Raymond Plunk, and Eddie Plunk all of Southaven, Mississippi; 3 sisters, Magalene Smith, Thelda Church, and Ella Bailey all of Southaven, Mississippi.



In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Omega Plunk.
