James Perry was born on December 26, 1940, in Jackson, Tennessee, the son of the late Edgar and Lucille Perry. He was united in marriage to Ann Sharpe.
Mr. Perry lived in Henderson County and worked for Brown Shoe Company of Lexington, Tennessee and also worked as an over-the-road truck driver. He enjoyed having conversations with people and listening to music.
Mr. Perry departed this life on August 16, 2013, at the age of 72 years, 7 months and 21 days.
He is survived by nine children, Joyce Brunt of Reagan, Tennessee, Shelia Austin of Sardis, Tennessee, Timmy Perry of Huron, Tennessee, Gerald Perry of Lexington, Tennessee, Ricky Perry of Darden, Tennessee, Greg Perry of Henderson, Tennessee, Jeff Moody of Lexington, Tennessee, Lucinda Moody of Lexington, Tennessee and Crystal Moody of Lexington, Tennessee; three brothers, Johnny Perry of Jackson, Tennessee, Billy Perry of Darden, Tennessee and Robert Perry of Lexington, Tennessee; two sisters, Doris Perry of Reagan, Tennessee and Louise Perry of Lexington, Tennessee; a large group of grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Ann Perry, and his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Janice Perry, one brother, Ben Perry and one sister, Shirley Perry Jones.
