James E. Outlaw was born on June 15, 1928 in Hardin County, Tennessee, the son of the late Herbert Eoffray and Ida Rosetta Conaway Outlaw. On June 1,1960, he was united in marriage to Betty Higgins Outlaw. Mrs. Outlaw preceded her husband in death on April 27, 2004.
Mr. Outlaw was an avid fisherman. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He retired from the United States Army holding the rank of Sergeant 1st Class after serving his country honorably for 27 years. His service history included the Korean War and Vietnam War, during which he earned the honor of being awarded a Purple Heart.
James Outlaw departed this life on September 15, 2016 at the age of 88 years, 3 months.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a nephew, Jerry Opdycke.
