James Dalton Naylor

May 19, 1935 — April 9, 2006

James Dalton Naylor, 70, of McKinnon, died Sunday morning, April 9, 2006 at Trinity Hospital in Erin, Tenn.



The husband of Della Frances Olivi Naylor, who survives, he was the owner of McKinnon Lumber Company. Mr. Naylor was born May 19, 1935 in Silerton, son of the late Henry Dalton Naylor and Clara Frances Baker Naylor. He lived in Bolivar for many years before moving to Houston County, Tenn. 15 years ago. Mr. Naylor served in the Tenn. National Guard and, while living in the Bolivar area, was a member of the Shandy Baptist Church.



Services were 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 11, 2006 at Shackelford Funeral Directors Bolivar chapel with Dennis Callahan and Father Carl Hood officiating. Burial was in Bolivar Memorial Cemetery.



In addition to his wife, whom he married January 13, 2001, he leaves as his survivors his daughter and her husband, Holly and Brad Galloway of Middleton; his grandson, Logan Galloway of Middleton; six sisters and four brothers. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Melrose Naylor, who died April 24, 1984.
