James William Morgan was born October 18, 1939 in Collinwood, TN the son of Katie Youngblood Morgan and the late James Hobert Morgan. Mr. Morgan was a carpenter. He was a member of the Houston Baptist Church in Collinwood, a Member of The American Legion. James was an SPF 4 in the US Army and a member of the TN National Guard where he proudly served his country. He was a carpenter for many years and loved to camp and fish. He was preceded in death by son, James W. Morgan and stepdaughter, Margaret Hancock and brother in law, James Sewell. Mr. Morgan departed this life on January 24, 2019 in Hot Springs National Park, Arkansas at the age of 79 Years, 3 Months, 6 Days.
He is survived by his mother, Katie Youngblood Morgan 2 sons, Dietrich Morgan and wife Rene' of Little Rock, AR, Gary Morgan and wife Angela of Hot Springs National Park, AR, 2 daughters, Gwen Stogner and husband Shelly of Hot Springs National Park, AR, Marcia Thomas and husband Tony of Hot Springs National Park, AR, eight grandchildren, Alisha and husband Neil, Brandon and wife Shena, Faith and husband Matthew, Mackenzie and husband Matt, Austin , Brady , Natalie and Isabella ; six great grandchildren, Norah , Morgan , Ginny , Harper , Micah , and Asher. Sisters Linda Kay Sewell and Carolyn Liles and husband Ken.
He is also survived by: former wife, Mary Morgan, 4 ,Bobby Bratcher, Timmy Bratcher, Mark Bratcher, and Anthony Bratcher 2 Step Daughters Lois Ann Talley and Diane Bowling and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends
Visitation January 26, 2019 5:00-8:00 at Shackelford Funeral Directors at Waynesboro in Waynesboro, Tennessee.
Visitation to be held prior to service 12:00-1:00 on January 27, 2019 at Shackelford Funeral Directors at Waynesboro in Waynesboro, Tennessee, Service to be held on January 27, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors at Waynesboro in Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Ken Liles officiating. Burial with military rites will follow in the Mt. Hebron Cemetery at Collinwood, Tennessee.
Pall Bearers included: grandsons, Brandon Morgan, Neil Robertson, Austin Thomas, Brady Thomas, Matt Harper, and Nephews, Matthew Gloden and Miles Gloden.
