James Neal Martin

James Neal (Hookie) Martin was born August 27, 1943 in McNairy County, Tennessee the son of the late William Gilcie and Rachel Genevie Ward Martin.Mr. Martin was employed for 34 years at General Electric in Selmer, Tennessee. At the time of his retirement, he was serving as shipping and receiving foreman. He was a lifelong member of the Mt. Sharon Presbyterian Church in Adamsville, Tennessee, where he formerly served as an Elder. Mr. Martin was an avid supporter of Adamsville High School Athletics.Mr. Martin departed this life on May 12, 2009 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 65 Years, 8 Months, 15 Days. He is survived by two sons: Ritchie Neal Martin of Adamsville, TN and Jeremy Martin of Franklin, TN; a sister, Margaret Case and husband Terry of Adamsville, TN; two grandchildren: Anna Martin and Clint Martin. In addition to his parents, Mr. Martin was preceded in death by a brother, Lendon Martin.
