James Kinney

Mr. Kinney passed away Thursday morning at Methodist Hospital of Fayette County.
The widower of Doris Nell Kinney, who died on February 12, 2003, he was a clerk with Whiteville Auto Parts for 35 years before retiring. He also worked for seven years at Applecreek Town Center. He was born to Alfred Henry Kinney and Essie Lee Williams Kinney, both of whom preceded him in death and lived in Kenton prior to moving to Whiteville 65 years ago. He served in the Army from 1950-52 and was a member and Deacon at Whiteville First Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Cathy Kinney of Whiteville; a son, Jeffrey Kinney of Whiteville; a sister, Zora Berryman of Essary Springs; and a brother, Glen Kinney of Whiteville.
