James Harold Ivy

James Harold Ivy was born December 29, 1933 in Silerton, Tennessee the son of Louise Nicholson and the late James Everette Ivy.He was united in marriage to Jo Ann Powell on November 6, 1957.Mr. Ivy departed this life on January 30, 2008 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 74 Years, 1 Month, 1 Day.Services will be held on February 2, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Directors-Johnson Chapel in Henderson, Tennessee, with Tony Polk officiating. Burial will follow in the Roby Cemetery in Chester County.He is survived by his wife Jo Ann (Powell) Ivy; a son, William (Sonny) Ivy and wife Janet of Reagan, TN;two brothers, Wade Ivy of Arlington, TN, Finis Ivy of Corinth, MS; four sisters, Clara Szarnopys of Granite City, IL, Sue Taylor of Mason, Tn, Deborah of Orlando , FL, Denise Woods; two grandchildren, Kati Ivy of Reagan, TN, Kelsey Ivy of Reagan, TN; In addition to his father, Mr. Ivy was preceded in death by two sisters, Joyce Collins, Shirley Ivy.He was a Korean War veteran and a deacon in the Enville Baptist Church. Mr. Ivy had worked for many dairy companies in all phases of the business.
