James E. Hurley

James E. Hurley, 88, of Saulsbury, died Thursday evening, July 13, at his home.



Born in Hardeman County, June 25, 1918 to Pearl Gurley Hurley, he was reared in Memphis and moved back to Hardeman County in 1981. Hurley was a salesman with William R. Moore for some 40 years and was a member of the Grand Junction Church of Christ.



Services were 1:00 pm Saturday, July 15, 2006 at Shackelford’s Bolivar chapel with Jason McDade officiating. Burial was at Memorial Park in Memphis.



He is survived by his wife Hazel Newton Hurley, whom he married in November of 1999; a son-in-law, Jack Foust of Saulsbury; two grandsons, Daryl and Jackie Foust and two great grandchildren, Christina and David Foust. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret Wilson Hurley, who died in 1997; a daughter, Mary Frances Foust and an infant girl, Janie Hurley.
