James William Horton

James William Horton was born September 16, 1921 in McNairy County, Tennessee the son of the late William Wheeler and Annie Wyatt Horton.He was united in marriage to Betty Larue on November 24, 1950. Mrs. Horton preceded him in death on June 28, 2002.Mr. Horton was a co-owner of Horton Brothers Construction Company. He was a member of the West Corinth Baptist Church in Corinth, Mississippi, and was a member of Free and Accepted Masons, Lodge 116 and was a Shriner as well.Mr. Horton departed this life on August 30, 2008 in Corinth, Mississippi at the age of 86 Years, 11 Months, 15 Days. He is survived by a son, Brett Horton of Corinth, MS; a brother, Lee Horton and wife Audie of Corinth, MS; three sisters-in-laws, Dot Horton of Corinth, MS, Shirley Horton of Memphis, TN, Jo South and husband Jimmy of Michie, TN.In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Horton was preceded in death by two brothers, Wilard and Eldon Horton.
