James Coleman Holland
was born in Milledgeville, Tennessee on June 8, 1942 the son of the late Lilburn Coleman and Vernettia Velrea Meek Holland.
On January 30, 1971 he was united in marriage to Dorothy Geneva Bingham, who preceded her husband in death on March 12, 2022.
James served his country proudly in the United States Navy. He later retired after over 30 years as a maintenance supervisor for International Paper Company in New Johnsonville, Tennessee. James lived in Bath Springs, where in 1980 he built his home himself. He was a member of the American Legion Tennessee Post 0243 in Scotts Hill, Tennessee.
He departed this life on Sunday, September 1, 2024 at his home in Bath Springs, Tennessee at the age of 82 years, 2 months, and 24 days.
James is survived by his unofficially adopted son, Jotham "Pote" Waller; sister, Karen Skinner; brothers, Jere Holland, Denny Holland, and Tony Holland and his wife Andrea; step grandchildren, Audrey Neville and her husband Logan and Sarah Willis; step great grandchildren, Easton Eli Neville and Coleman Wesley Neville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his step children, Roy Willis and his wife Linda and Gary Willis and his wife Peggy; sister, Yvonne Evans; brother, Keith Holland; brother-in-law, Ralph Skinner; and sisters-in-law, Sherry Holland and Mary Sue Holland.
