James R. Harris,

James R. (Jimmy) Harris, Sr. was born September 12, 1933 in Pocahontas, TN the son of the late Clarence and Ethel Harris. He was united in marriage to Nell Horton on December 18, 2013.

Mr. Harris was a truck driver for 30 years at Roadway. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Selmer, Tennessee. He enjoyed fishing and working in his garden.

Mr. Harris departed this life on May 11, 2018 in Corinth, Mississippi at the age of 84 Years, 7 Months, 29 Days. He is survived by his wife Nell (Horton) Harris of Selmer, TN; three daughters: Linda Sue Petty of Memphis, TN, Tammye Harris of Murfreesboro, TN, Carol Wright of Memphis, TN; three sons: James R. (Jim) Harris Jr. and wife Ruth of Oakland, TN, Eugene Harris of Hickory Valley, TN, Terry Harris and wife Gina of Dresden, TN; two brothers: Billy Harris of Middleton, TN, Leroy Harris and wife Louise of Springfield, TN; and two sisters: Sue Johnson of Rockford , IL, and Carolyn Kirk of Pocahontas, TN; twelve grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Harris was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert (Bobby) Harris and Bud Harris.
