James Elbert "Jamie" Harbinwas born Septmber 19,1919 in Hardin County, Tennessee the son of the late Abram and Rosa Etter McMullen Harbin.On July 8, 1943 he married Lillie Clementine White, who survives.During his life he worked at Ripley Industries assembling furniture,he was a farmer, sometimes called the "chickenman", and he was a Army veteran where he was a MP Escort Guard. He liked to play checkers and loved his family.He departed this life on August 31, 2007 at the age of 87 years, 11 months, and 12 days.In addition to his wife he is survived by his son James Robert Harbin of Savannah, Tennessee, his daughters: Elizabeth Gail Harbin Ross of Sikeston, Missouri, and Aliecia Rose Harbin Moss of Lake Tahoe, Nevada; 6 sisters: Rachel Pruiett, Lena Mae Wilkerson, Sue Gray, Ann Austin, Faye and Sally Joe; 3 brothers: Dexter Harbin, Benny Harbin, and Paul Harbin; 5 grandchildren: Carla Landers, Kathy Oros, Lisa Vanhoose, Jamie Ross, and Aliecia Ross; 6 great-grandchildren: Bethany Ashley, Cana Landers, Chelsea Ross, Andrew and Audrey Vanhoose.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, 3 brothers: Cecil Harbin, AR Harbin, and Andy Harbin; 7 sisters: Willie D. Harbin, Virgie Harbin, Betty Goodman, Linda Harbin, Etter Mae Harbin, Francis Harbin, and Elsie Reed; 2 infants and a host of nieces and nephews.
