James Leroy Griggs

James Leroy Griggs was born October 26, 1942 in Wayne County, TN the son of the late James Quinton and Eva Marie Stockard Griggs. Mr. Griggs died Friday, August 30, 2013 at Crockett Hospital in Lawrenceburg at the age of 70 Years, 10 Months, 4 Days. Leroy had worked at Genesco and was of the Church of God faith.
He is survived by a son, Lee Griggs of Murfreesboro, TN, two grandchildren, Alexandria McBroom and Christopher Griggs, a sister, Virginia Stone of Waynesboro, TN, four brothers, Wilford Griggs of Lawrence County, TN, Allen Griggs of Manchester, TN, Charles Griggs of Lawrenceburg, TN, and Marlin Griggs of Hartselle, AL, several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Services will be Monday, September 2, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel in Waynesboro with Laverne Griggs and Tommy Burke officiating. Burial will follow in Waynesboro Memorial Gardens with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.
